Kenai Kayak Company was born in the middle of the cold Alaskan winter of  2015. We are passionate about sharing the beauty and serenity of Kenai Lake, the headwaters of the famous Kenai River, in Cooper Landing, Alaska. With turquoise, glacier-fed waters, up-close and personal views of the Chugach Mountain range and local wildlife, an excursion on the lake is a perfect introduction to the beauty of Alaska.

Owners Meaghan Lessard and Kristen Peters are sisters first, business partners second, and born-and-raised Alaskans.  An integral aspect of their childhood included working at a local guide service, Cooper Landing Fish Camp, owned and operated by their parents. As part-time residents of Cooper Landing for the majority of their lives, they have an investment in the local community, and have also spent many years experiencing and working the amazing Kenai River, hiking the Chugach mountains, and exploring the vast wilderness.

Kenai Kayak Company operates under LNT (Leave-No-Trace) principles, and we make it a practice to educate and inform all our clients  about low-impact eco-tourism. While on land, we adhere to the "Pack It In, Pack It Out" method. We encourage all our clients to do so as well to preserve the natural landscape, beaches, pristine waters, as it is a privilege to provide excursions in one of Alaska's protected State Parks.      ​
